Tanks and containers
For many years, we have successfully implemented corrosion protection work on tanks and their peripheries for international and national tank providers of petrochemistry and food industry. Just now, a dependable partner is not available in these areas that will be able to suffice the high degree of protective measures and safety precautions that are necessary for high safety standard.
Exterior coatings must suffice the increased demands in structural steelwork when compared to the conventional corrosion protection. Long-term resistance against weathering influences such as UV-radiation, condensed water load, hailstorms, etc. are the pre-requisite. Moreover, there are increased additional loads in tankers depending on the location and usage: emissions in the form of aerosols or vapours, impurities during filling and emptying as well as mechanical load during revision and mounting work.
When compared to the exterior coatings, tank- and container- inner coatings are in constant, direct contact with the respective filling mediums. The chemical load is therefore directly dependent on the type, concentration, composition and temperature of the goods filled. They can be classified under three categories:
- Inflammable, organic fluids (like for e.g. benzene, crude oil, solvents)
- Organic and inorganic chemicals and
- Food.
